How to Disable Built-in Reminders

Some email providers like Outlook and Gmail have native attachment reminders. To avoid getting double pop-ups when using the Attachment Reminder extension, we recommend turning off the built-in alerts.

Outlook (Web Version)

1
Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top right corner of Outlook.
2
Navigate to Mail and then select Attachments.
3
Scroll to the Attachment warnings section.
4
Find the toggle for Warn me when I send a message that may be missing an attachment and switch it to Off.

Gmail

1
Unlike Outlook, Google does not currently provide an official setting to turn off its native attachment reminder. It is an automatic feature built into Gmail.
2
However, when Gmail's basic reminder pops up, you can simply click "Send anyway" or ignore it, as our Extension will cover your custom keywords correctly.
3
If you wish to avoid the native Gmail reminder entirely, simply avoid typing words like "attached" or "enclosed" when you don't intend to attach a file.
